Marston Green is
known as a family club, who encourage the youth to play as much tennis as possible.
Parents play a big part in this and because they are at the club so often, have ended up joining themselves.
The club currently has about 55 Senior members and 25 Intermediates.
Social tennis is played Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Sunday morning is also social
tennis, this however is normally attended by just men. The women are welcome but rarely
attend (must be their beauty sleep time).
Tennis balls are provided and during social play no fixed fours are allowed, everyone
mixes in.
Anyone wishing to play, can attend any social session and pay a £5 visitors fee, you then
mix in as if you were a member. This is ideal if you are looking to join the club and
would like to know what it is really like.
